We are in the process of building an Independent School here in London, UK, with a partner school in St Lucia. We want to change the concept of inclusion and we want to promote a different approach to learning. Our main focus group is underachieving black children and we propose to reach them through inclusion, inspiration and involvement.
As we have no money to invest in this ourselves, we are investing our time, our inspiration, our enthusiasm, and our know-how. And who are we? I hear you ask. We are John Atkins and Evalena Styf and you can read more about us in the About section of the blog. I hope that with your help and our work, between us we can create something we can be proud to have been a part of.
There are three ways you can help – you can offer me trades in the paperclip chains, you can donate items to be auctioned off on eBay, and you can chip in monetary donations.
All donations will be mentioned on the site, but you can of course choose to be anonymous if you want to. I will blog about each step of the way from here to there, and keep you updated on what’s happening in the project.
